WEDDING | Summer Kirkbrae Country Club wedding with Kurt and Sarah

Saturday, June 6, 2015

Kurt {an East Providence Police Officer} and Sarah {a Severe Special Ed Teacher} contacted us after booking their wedding reception at Kirkbrae Country Club. This wedding was a lot of fun for us. The weather was perfect for June, the bridal party had fun ideas for photos and were really into them.

The Bride wore a sweetheart strapless gown with lace that she purchased at David’s Bridal and the Groom wore a black Vera Wang suit that was rented through Men’s Warehouse. The brides maid’s wore a navy blue floor length gown from Alter-Davida Bridal and the groomsmen wore the same as the Groom.

As you’ll see in the photos below: there were wrestling props for wedding intro’s; the bride and groom smashed cake in each other faces during the cake cutting and had a lot of fun doing it; and the guests enjoyed dancing and a cigar bar.

Below is a little Q & A from the newlyweds:

Hometown for the Bride: North Attleboro, MA
Hometown for the Groom: Swansea, MA

Occupation for the Bride: Severe Special Ed Teacher
Occupation for the Groom: East Providence Police Officer

Where they met: Westfield State College
First Date: studying in a dorm room
Where they got engaged: LaSalette in Attleboro, MA

What made their wedding unique: They did bridal party & couple intro’s to wrestling songs and had props and a dance planned. The Groom also stated that since their wedding ceremony was held in a church, it was unique especially since so many wedding ceremonies are held outdoors.

What was their favorite part of the ceremony and/or reception: For the Bride, the ceremony was her favorite part. The Groom loved their wrestling intro since it was so unique and different.

First dance song: Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls

How far in advance did they book Nicole Gesmondi Photographer, LLC? 10 months out

Advice when hiring a wedding photographer: “Make sure you tell them everything you want and are looking for.”

One thing they learned from their wedding planning: Sarah said: “It’s a lot of work!” and to “Not set expectations of others ahead of time. On a positive note, I realized how organized I am!”
