WEDDING | Winter Wedding at Cranston Country Club with Kyle and Kate

We just finished editing the images for Kyle and Kate’s wedding that we photographed on December 13, 2014 {12-13-14} and we are absolutely in love with all the photos! The wedding was held at the Cranston Country Club and the bride did a fabulous job transforming the space into her winter wonderland theme using silver linens and blue uplighting from David Prando at J+R Rentals, renting these fabulous lit up trees from Exquisite Events and hanging snowflakes from the ceiling. Pam from The Enchanted Florist created gorgeous floral centerpieces, a mix of tall and short, throughout the room. Maria Jones, from Deli on Post, made a S’mores Bar so guests wouldn’t have to go out and toast S’mores in the cold. She even paired the bar with a Hot Chocolate Bar. What an awesome idea!

Read below to see who their wedding professionals were, learn more about them and their planning and view photos from their wedding day.

Hometown for the Bride: Cranston, RI
Hometown for the Groom: Warwick, RI

Where they met: Kyle’s business in 2009

First Date: TGI Friday’s for appetizers and drinks

Where they got engaged: On the boat, at sunset on Greenwich Bay

Q: What made your wedding unique?
A:
The Deli on Post in Warwick designed and built our s’mores and hot chocolate bar so our guests wouldn’t have to be outside to roast marshmallows. We had a “wishing tree” instead of a traditional guest book. Our guests wrote messages and well wishes on wooden ornaments and hung them on the tree. We will have everyone’s notes for years to come!

Q: What was the favorite part of your ceremony and/or reception moment?
A:
Our first dance

First Dance song: “The Prayer” by: Andrea Boccelli & Celine Dion

Q: How far in advance did you book us?
A: 14 months

List a few words that describe us? Unique, creative, fun

Q: What was your favorite part about working with us so far?
A:
Flexibility and communication. We have crazy schedules and you were always more than accommodating with scheduling appointments and sessions. You are super easy to get in touch with, you call/text/email and you respond so quickly to inquiries and questions.

Q: If your friend asked you about your experience working with us, what would you tell them?
A: Nicole and Paul are extremely easy going, and fun to work with. They take the time to get to know you and exactly what your style is. They photographed everything that we wanted and captured some amazing moments!

Q: One thing you learned from planning your wedding is… recruit your friends and family, have food and drinks and have them help you with as much as possible, and it is a really fun girls day/night too!

Q: What designer were you wearing and where did you purchased it?
A: Allure Couture from Melissa Ashley Bridal in Westerly, RI

Q: What did the Bridesmaids wear?
A:
Bill Levkoff purchased at The Bridal Garden, East Greenwich

Q: What designer did the Groom wear and where did you rent it from?
A:
Kenneth Cole rented through Carl Anthony Tuxedo, Cranston

Q: What did the groomsmen wear?
A:
Kenneth Cole rented through Carl Anthony Tuxedo, Cranston

The honeymoon: Aruba

The registry: The Honeyfund.com and Bed, Bath and Beyond

Q: Any wedding planning advice for engaged couples {does not have to be photography related}?
A: Research/book your vendors and get as much done as possible before reaching the 3 month mark. This will leave plenty of time to pay attention to all the little details and surprises without being stressed out.   We started planning our wedding 15 months in advance. Once all the major vendors were booked, I went by the checklist on theknot.com and decided to do one wedding task a week. I had so much done very early, and it was a huge relief knowing I was ahead of schedule.
