Recently engaged, Jacqui reached out to schedule engagement photos, but our initial call revealed something even more exciting—they were expecting their second baby! This shoot turned into a beautiful celebration of both their engagement and their pregnancy announcement.
A Unique Dual Announcement
We strategically planned two shoot dates, just in case the weather didn’t cooperate. Sure enough, we ended up using our rain date, but it turned out to be a perfect choice! The day before our rescheduled shoot, Jacqui learned the sex of the baby and wanted to surprise Tyler during the session. What a fantastic way to capture these milestones together!
A Fun Behind-the-Scenes Moment
One of the highlights of the shoot was a funny behind-the-scenes moment. Jacqui had brought along a sign with pop-in letters that read “IT’S A BOY.” However, in a twist of fate, the “Y” fell off during transit! As we frantically searched for it, I suggested she dump her bag on the beach—and wouldn’t you know it, the “Y” was the last item to emerge! We nearly had to roll with “IT’S A BO,” which would have made for an interesting edit!
Planning for the Future
Jacqui and Tyler are planning to use these beautiful images for their Save The Dates and announcement cards, capturing the joy of their growing family and new life together. It’s such an honor to be a part of these special moments and to help them create lasting memories.
