Former wedding clients Greg and Shelley hired us to photograph their family at a favorite park near their home in Cumberland, Rhode Island. We have photographed them a few times over the years, but this was the first time they chose a location personal to their little family, which we really loved! The photos always come out better when everyone is happy and comfortable in their surroundings. It was also a bonus that Max (their son) recognized us from our last session, so he was a bit less camera shy!
Monastery Park is a cool spot with plenty of photo ops! We had never been to this location before and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. No wonder the Meers like it so much! The fall foliage was in peak color, with plenty of bright yellows and reds mixed in with the still green grass – it was gorgeous! The meandering wooded paths, stone architecture, fields, and footbridge set the scene for a variety of posed and candid shots.
With the holidays around the corner, they chose photos for holiday cards as well as canvas wall art of their Monastery Park family photo session. It is nice knowing that years from now when Max is grown, they will be able to look at these photos and be reminded of the fun times they had together there. It makes what we do so much more worthwhile!
