Sasha contacted us because she needed a professional portrait for the Brown University yearbook – she was graduating with the class of 2021! Senior year (whether high school or college) is an important milestone in life, one that should be documented not only for personal reasons, but for professional reasons! These photos can be used on social media, websites, and business cards – all essentials for fresh graduates entering the workforce or continuing their education.
Because Sasha did such an amazing job helping to create and shape Ivy Film Festival and Fashion Week at Brown University, we knew her senior portraits had to be modern and chic to suit her industry. After getting a few more traditional corporate headshots in the studio, we head outside into the natural light for some photos with an urban aesthetic. If you follow our photography, you know we love architecture and industrial settings! A great benefit of our location in Providence is we have a variety of these backdrops (and more) right outside our front door.
Sasha brought a few options for her wardrobe, which is something we recommend everyone do! Not only did this offer visual variety in the photos, but it also gave her a chance to show off a bit of her personal style and unique perspective – something oh-so essential to future success in her field. As the Austin Kleon quote goes, “You have to dress for the job you want, not the job you have, and you have to start doing the work you want to be doing.”
Are you a recent college grad? Or do you know a recent college grad who might be interested I having some fun portraits taken? Contact us today - we'd love other from you!
