Amanda and Phil met on Match.com right before the pandemic and despite all the chaos in the world, found love! They live in New York, but Amanda always spent her summers in Narragansett and even now her and Phil try to visit Rhode Island four or five times a year. They call RI their "happy place" so it should come as no surprise they chose the Ocean State for their wedding!
Amanda and Phil are both in their 40's and it is a first marriage for both of them. When we initially spoke, she said she wanted "to capture all the love without the hoopla!" Not only do I love the word hoopla, but I loved that phrase too, so I knew immediately we would get along great! Since most of their family and friends live back in New York, they were planning a minimony in Narragansett by the gazebo with a dinner at Celestial Café afterwards for only a few close family and friends. We have found that minimony weddings are a fantastic way to celebrate without all the distractions of a huge guest list. These intimate occasions give you and your guests a chance to really enjoy their time with each other!
Because it was such a small group, we had no problems photographing most of the family photos on the lawn right next to the gazebo. Amanda and Phil’s driver also took us to Point Judith and Black Point for additional photo-ops; Narragansett is an awesome location with lots of choices! Amanda and Phil were A LOT OF FUN, and we became instant friends - even their other family members were super cool! It really was a wonderful day!
