Q: How long is your engagement?
A: Our engagement is a little over a year. We were originally planning our wedding for April 2020 until we recently found out we are pregnant so we moved the wedding festivities to April 2019. We are so excited!
Q: When should couples get engagement photos taken?
NGP: Consider engagement length, desired location and season when booking!
Larissa and Abi LOVE autumn, so we planned for when the foliage is ideal! Protip: if you want save the dates with your engagement photos, your session should be 6-8 months before the wedding!
Q: How did you chose the location for your engagement session?
A: We LOVE Boston. That is our new home and where our life has taken us, so it was the obvious choice!
Q: How did you help Larissa and Abi choose their location?
NGP: They knew they wanted Boston and we loved the idea, so we met them at the station and took the train together!
It was so great to catch these intimate moments! Protip: Not EVERY shot needs a pose, candid photos reflect your true love and the couples style!
Q: What was your experience working with Nicole and Paul?
A: The experience has been great so far! We had such a wonderful time roaming around Boston and taking photos...especially with our puppy Golda!
Q: What was your experience working with Larissa and Abi?
NGP: They knew what they wanted but were also open to suggestions and ideas. They are a lot of fun - We laughed a lot and the conversation never stopped!
Fenway was a MUST for these Boston fans! Protip: Keep a few locations in mind that mean something to you, like romantic spots you love!
Seriously, Golda has supermodel dog potential - wouldn't you agree?
Q: What is your advice to couples who are on the fence about doing an engagement session?
A: Do it! It is a lot of fun and you can take photos wherever and however you would like!
Q: What is your advice to couples who are on the fence of doing an engagement session?
NGP: It is worth it! It's a nice opportunity to have professional photos outside of your wedding photos!
Coffee is a great way to personalize and start the day! Protip: include what matters to you and have some fun being yourselves!
Larissa and Abi were super cute and affectionate towards each other during their session.
They had so many photogenic moments! Protip: Try to forget the camera is on you and let your photographer worry about getting the shot!
Q: Any advice for couples looking to hire a wedding photographer?
A: Look for what they offer and read reviews, like on the Knot.com. Also, we highly recommend you go by word of mouth. Everyone we have hired is someone we know or who has done previous engagements.
Q: As wedding photographers, what advice can you give to engaged couples looking to hire a photographer?
NGP: Hiring the wrong photographer can be a nightmare! Do your research and make sure you like the studios price point and LOVE their finished product. Most importantly, make sure you enjoy their company - that's when the photography magic happens!
We are not afraid to get down and dirty to get the shot for our couples!
Q: What was your favorite part of the engagement session?
A: THE ENTIRE DAY!
NGP: THE ENTIRE DAY!
Bring on the wedding! Protip: If you hire the same photographer for your wedding, the engagement shoot is perfect for getting to know each other before the big day!
If you are inspired to do an engagement session, we would love to hear from you! We are always open to travel and unique or sentimental ideas. Where will we go to photograph and celebrate your love?
