Carlos and Yadira met over thirteen years ago through their church. After each experiencing major setbacks in their lives (Carlos was a widower and Yadira was a single mom for 16 years), they said "God called them to New Beginnings."
Yadira was hesitant at first, but Carlos said he was not asking her to be his GF or Wife, “just give me your time" and the rest is history! As their relationship grew stronger Carlos decided he wanted to spend forever with Yadira, and so on her birthday in 2021 on Virginia Beach he proposed. Yadira was completely surprised and instead of saying "Yes!" she replied, "Are you sure?!" Obviously, she granted his request!
While neither wanted a large wedding, they both adore Providence and fell in love with the Pavilion at Grace. It’s such a modern venue with traditional architectural elements; it even offers outdoor space, which can be hard to find in the city! The wedding colors they chose reflected God's purpose in their lives: White for surrender, harvest, conquest, and light; Green for new beginnings, growth, restoration, prosperity, flourishing, and praise; Purple for royalty, the Priesthood, and wealth. It was such a personal and symbolic touch you do not see often in wedding color schemes!
We enjoyed spending the evening with Carlos and Yadira, surrounded by their family and friends, celebrating their love and commitment to their future together!
