Craig and Crystals Disney themed wedding had finally arrived. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm with blue skies, every couple’s ideal wedding day weather. This couple used a Star Wars Save the Date to inform their guests of their wedding theme. During their engagement session, they brought their own light sabers that we used in a few shots. Missed their engagement session? Read all about it on our blog!
Paul and I started the day by meeting Crystal, her Mom and bridesmaids at the Delamar West Hartford for getting ready photos. This new hotel is gorgeous with large rooms, lots of windows for natural light and cool common areas for group photos. They had a nice outdoor area as well.
Craig and Crystal wanted to do a first look and most of their formal photos before their ceremony so they could mingle with their friends and family during cocktail hour. We were able to coordinate their first look on the stone bridge right near the Pond House. Afterwards, we headed with their immediate families and wedding party to the rose garden in Elizabeth Park for the formal photos. We have a super quick system we use to make sure we photograph everyone in a timely manner.
Craig and Crystal had their wedding ceremony on the outside patio overlooking the pond. After the ceremony, everyone headed inside for cocktails, hors d'oeuvre and a brunch buffet. After brunch, guests enjoyed lots of 90’s hits from DJ Geoff Pusko and dancing. Crystal of course chose, “Here’s to the Night” by Eve6 one of Crystal’s all time favorites bands for her last dance song.
