No one wants to think it’s going to rain on their wedding day but it is always a good idea to have a back up plan just in case it does. And that’s exactly what Jon and Alanna Botts did on their wedding day. We chatted the week of the wedding to review their details and group photos. We discussed the plan for sunny weather and the plan if it were to rain. We told them that our goal was to take photos outside as long as it wasn’t pouring. A clear umbrella and some colorful rain boots can brighten any photograph! It also always helps when you have a fun couple who is willing to try anything! Thanks for being so flexible Jon and Alanna!

Jon and some of the guys got ready at NYLO Hotel in Warwick while Alanna and the ladies got ready at Jon and Alanna’s home in Warwick. The first photo shows the advantage of two photographers as these two images happened at the exact same time. The image on the right shows garters with nips handmade by Mother of the Bride – super cute!

Jon and Alana chose to do a first look down by the marina docks which we were able to coordinate with help of the wedding coordinator at Harbor Lights. We also photographed the immediate family and bridal party photos right after the couples first look so they would be able to take a few more couple photos after the ceremony and head into cocktail hour.

Due to the possibility of rain, the ceremony was moved inside. Luckily the newlyweds were still able to include their dog, Jameson, after their ceremony. He ran to greet them and say hello!

After the ceremony, we took the newlyweds and Jameson outside for some updated family portraits. After about 15 minutes, Jon and Alanna were able to head into cocktail hour and mingle with friends and family.

Guest were able to enjoy Corn hole during cocktail hour; a packed dance floor, uplighting and a live Instagram feed by Limelite Entertainment as well as an Allie’s Donuts table with Gregg’s Death by Chocolate cake. Can we say delicious?!
